Preview is an enhancement to Kleeen's crosslinking functionality. Much like crosslinking this is a feature you can take advantage of with no additional effort. Preview allows a user to open up a preview pane in the bottom half of a window that leverages the widgets and visualizations in a detail page about a Thing.
Previews are selected from the menu that appears when a Thing has a detail page attached. In the example below the Thing, Access Point has a detail page that can be previewed.
If the user selects the preview option the preview panel will open displaying the widgets built for the Access Point, specifically the East Employee Access one. As demonstrated below. Any filters applied to the page being viewed will be passed to the preview panel. For example, if a date filter is showing on the last 24 hours in the main view the preview panel will only show the data from the last 24 hours.
To add previews to your application you will need to build detail, or single pages, for the items you would like to preview. If you already have an application authored that you would like to add previews to, simply re-launch the instant prototype from the Kleeen Authoring Homepage and if your application is in production export the rebuilt code to your Git Hub. From there you will manage the update as a pull request just like updated code from any other developer.
